The main artery connecting Midian city to the rest of the world, Quinntukhat River is a polluted cesspool where nothing except the most resilient, toxic animals can live. Channels had been dug that brought the effluent of great industry strait to the cleansing waters. Now they are choked with rubble, debris and the toxic residue of mankind's war run amuck. The river was spanned by bridges, connecting the island to Leviathon as well as other highways leading to America's big cities. Those bridges have been torn down for scrap or blown apart by terrorists and sessesionists seeking to keep the UAC out of Midian.
