Markre Medjev was a male Human Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order during the Jedi Renaissance era after fighting during the battle at Yavin IV as the Order vanquished the Sith spirit of Exar Kun. A skilled medic and researcher, Medjev was appointed as the Temple Master of the Temple of Knowledge, Kaleth by the Council of First Knowledge. Residing on Tython, Medjev was a member of the Jedi Grand Council and not only oversaw the upkeep of the Archives at Kaleth and the Noetikon of Knowledge housed there, but also joined the Council in overseeing the Great Journey all Jedi must take across Tython in order to become a Jedi Knight.
