Gregor Powers was born in Baden, Germany in 1678. He was a foundling child who grew up to become a doctor like his adoptive father. He attended the Heidelberg University. While at school, Gregor was ambushed by bandits, robbed and beaten to death. He revived as an Immortal. He soon met Duncan MacLeod, his first teacher. Gregor met his own first pupil, Alec Hill, in 1756. After the ordeal, Gregor learned a new appreciation for life. He decided to re-enroll in medical school, and resumed his practice.
