ÆSC (アッシュツリー, (Asshutsurī), Ash Tree) is the name of Merek's Zanpakuto, a projectile type. Aesc appears as a 5'11" (point to pommel) Estoc with a gold crossguard, black leather grip, and a gold pommel decorated with a green gem. Aesc is much larger than a traditional estoc, though it keeps the characteristics of having dull edged and coming to a sharp point. Merek wears the blade in a scabbard on his left hip; noteably, the scabbard is only 4 and a half feet long.
