The intricate wooden shield "Nature's Friend" is an artifact in ADOM. In ADOM v 1.1.1 and some earlier versions, the artifact can be found as random artifact, and generated by crowning. When wielded, Nature's Friend grants four elemental resistances as well as resistance to poison. In its unidentified form, it is indistinguishable from regular wooden shields. Besides taking the risk of wielding it, the only ways of identifying it from regular wooden shields are by magical identification means, appraising, or attempting to sell it (artifacts often have unusually high selling prices).
