Exit 31W of the Cross Island Parkway is a partial cloverleaf-shaped exit on the Cross Island just south of Douglaston. The road is the first of two to take you onto Northern Boulevard, also known as New York State Route 25. This one, Exit 31W, takes you westward. Before the Cross Island Parkway was aligned with the Belt Parkway, the exits were aligned with the Southern State Parkway. Due to the SSP alignment, this exit was known as Exit 6W.
