The Crynyd Award is a commendation awarded by the Rebel Alliance to pilots in the Republic Liberation Forces and People's Galactic Alliance Forces for acts of conspicuous bravery during space-to-space fighting. It was named after Arvel Crynyd, the legendary A-Wing pilot who ultimately destroyed the Super Star Destroyer Executor at the Battle of Endor.
