Shojo, literally "girl", is an anime or manga aimed at teenage girls, something like 10-18 years old. Like shonen series, they are usually action-oriented like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura, or romance/romantic comedies with female leads such as Ouran High School Host Club, Kimi ni Todoke, or Boys over Flowers.
