Dr. Henry Kissinger (b. 1923) served as national security advisor and later Secretary of State to President Richard M. Nixon, leaving office in 1977. In the Watchmen universe, he continues to advise President Nixon in 1986 and accompanies him to NORAD headquarters when a global war looms with the Soviet Union.
