The Chief of Starfleet Personnel was a high-ranking position at Starfleet Command. If the Chief of Starfleet Operations or a starbase admiral approves a request from a Starfleet officer from the Starfleet Deep Space Exploratory Corps for duty with another department, the Chief of Starfleet Personnel will liaison between the officer and the department on the administrative and personal matters. This liaison will occur in proximity to the requesting agency and the representative for the Chief will be known as the administrative commander.
