Montague "Monty" William Garrett (born 1907). Mayor of Twickenham 1954-55. Conservative Party member of the Greater London Council: Richmond-upon-Thames 1964 – 1967 He was also became an alderman on Richmond upon Thames Borough Council in 1964, and was chairman of the shadow council until 1965 when he became first Mayor of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in 1965-66.
