The SZ520CT features a mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fretboard with special flame (or squid?) position markers. Components include dual humbucking pickups made by Ibanez and designed by Seymour Duncan with individual volume controls and the Gibraltar III fixed bridge. It has a staggered through-body stringing arrangement for superior tonal balance. The SZ520QM is a similar model with a quilted maple top and different fretboard inlays. The SZ520FM is another similar model with a flamed maple top and different inlays.
