The unnamed Shop Assistant worked at Keasts Boutique where Sarah Platt bought a jacket in April 2015. While she was outside talking to Callum Logan, daughter Bethany Platt shop-lifted an item and the assistant gave chase, yelling the traditional cry of "stop thief!" Callum and Sarah sped to Bethany's aid in his car, albeit Sarah was furious with Bethany, and enabled her to escape her pursuer.
