Ellen Brown has left the large city and her fiance Pierre in search for a friendly town. While on the bus, she spots a sign that says just that: "Mayberry, A Friendly Town". Deciding to give the town a chance, she walks into Floyds barbershop and gets a job immediately- explaining she will work on commission. She is portrayed by Barbara Eden .
