In the Batman Nolanverse dimension, Alfred Pennyworth got a letter from Rachel Dawes explaining that she was going to marry Harvey Dent. When Rachel died on the orders of the Joker, Alfred destroyed the letter by burning it because he didn't want Bruce Wayne to get hurt. When Bruce found out about it, he became very angry and threw Alfred out of the house. This is the same as parts of TDK and TDKR.
