Freakshow is back in town, searching for the Talisman of Merris, a powerful ghostly artifact that can grant even the most ordinary of humans strong ectoplasmic powers. But Danny isn't about to let him get it. He manages to obtain the artifact before Freakshow does, but his problems are just beginning. The talisman's power corrupts all who touch it, and when Jazz gets too close and Jack detects ectoplasmic energy in the house, they fall under its sway. Not only must Danny contend with Freakshow, who will stop at nothing to obtain it, he must also deal with his father and sister, granted not only amazing ghostly powers, but their minds singularly driven to destroy any that threaten them, including Danny.
