The Inter-American Development Bank is a finance developer for Latin America and the Caribbean. On November 10, 2015, the IADB held an event to promote early education in mathematics and science in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event featured NASA engineers presenting lectures with an appearance by Lola from Plaza Sésamo. Lola spoke with Sandra Cauffman from the Goddard Space Flight Center and Diana Trujillo from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, calling them superheroes because knowing a lot about science and math is like having superpowers.
