Manua Apgar was a female Tanugan in the 24th century was the wife of Dr. Nel Apgar. Apgar lived with her husband on the Tanuga IV research station. She spent a lot of time alone, as Nel worked very hard on his experiments. She knew her patience would pay off, however, as she had great respect and admiration for him. Manua Apgar was played by actress Gina Hecht. According to the script, her name was pronounced as "MAN-you-ah AP-garr". [1]
