The following is a list of one-time characters from the American animated television comedy series The Simpsons. Some of the characters have returned to the show, sometimes in just brief speaking appearances, or 'in the crowd' scenes. Other characters, originally intended to be one-time characters have ended up becoming regular cast members, such as Cletus Spuckler, Luigi Risotto, Disco Stu, Groundskeeper Willie, Cookie Kwan and Lindsey Naegle.
