Curial dust was a potent narcotic drug. On planet Tiros II, the corrupt Starfleet officer Commander Solomon Kane arranged to purchase a large quantity of curial dust from a pair of merchants. When the deal fell through, Kane stabbed one merchant and stole the drugs for himself. The surviving merchant later stepped forward to report the crime. (FASA RPG module: Orion Ruse)
