There were a number of characters in The Adventures of Fuego the Phoenix. When Fuego visited new planets he would encounter a native from there who would educate Fuego on the local customs, culture and lives of the people there. Fuego was a red, yellow, and orange Abstalian Phoenix who wore a blue t-shirt. The main character of the show, he tended to deliver the general message as well as guide children through the adventure. Gurzak was a child Massassi and the best friend of Fuego. He was red and usually carried a toolbelt with many things that they would need on their adventures.
