The Video Display Unit (VDU) is a small interactive touchscreen in the cockpit of a ship which can display various kinds of information. Some ships have more than one VDU in their cockpit. The VDU provides vital information about an enemy ship during boarding although it cannot indicate whether the enemy ship is completely disabled which is an essential information for successful boarding.
