The Umpani are a military race that look like walking rhinos. They are intelligent, though stubborn when they cling to their orders. They are well organised and equipped, though their weaponry rather resembles 18th century shotguns and pistols. However, they also build spaceships with rather more powerful weapons. They make their first appearance in Wizardry VII and are one of the factions in Wizardry 8.
