Esano was a Human male whose family ran the Kozinarg Trade Guilds. When members of the Scourge kidnapped his sister, he declined to pay the ransom because she had challenged his power. After Darth Maul and Savage Opress freed his sister on Yellowblade's Landing, they brought her back to Esano on Pleem's Nexus, her homeworld. She told Esano to give the brothers what they wanted, but he replied that if they killed her, he would be the only heir to their family's fortune. The brothers responded by killing Esano and his men.
