Tráty (Finn. Turaksi, Russ. Тракт, Est. Trakt) is an important stop-off point in the highway trip between Syktyvkar and Ukhta in Uralica, within Komiland County. Once little more than an outpost with a gas station, Tráty has grown into a bustling town thanks to the mining industry. Around 65% of the population is on the payroll of Bolak Corp., including many of the sports players that play there. It was far higher, but the emergence of Magyar Independent as an economic power has lessened it. Not surprisingly, the biggest economic sectors in Tráty are mining and metallurgy.
