The Europani are the humans of the independent colony Europa Nova. In May of 2376, an Iconian Gateway opened above the colony expelling massive amounts of radioactive waste from a Malon freighter onto the planet. The entire Europani population was evacuated to Bajor for a short period whilst the planet was made habitable again.
