Colel Kenew was the First Monarch of Aquilae during the Great Sovereign Crusades, though he and his planet did not participate in the war. After the war ended, he was debriefed by Ussej Padric Bac III of the Bendu Order regarding what the Bendu Order did during the conflict. He later participated in a conference of all planets of the Ashlan Expanse where Ussej spoke to them all regarding the conflict. Although others were more open to it, Colel was somewhat reluctant regarding the continuation of a trusting relationship with the Bendu Order and Kal'Shabbol, though when he saw that the other planets were agreeing to it he followed suit.
