The African Bee lives in central and southern Africa, but there is also a type of bee called an Africanized bee which is a cross between African and European honey bees. This sort of bee has been found living in South and Central America and is now spreading up through North America, as shown on the map below. This sort are called killer bees as they are more aggressive than European bees. File:Killerbees ani.gif
