Transquantic torpedoes were experimental warheads, capable of causing up to fifteen times as much damage as quantum torpedoes. They were installed on the USS Enterprise-J during a refit in 2573. All other Independence-class starships were also equipped with these torpedoes. (PIO: "On a Knife Edge")
