The series began with an unaired pitch tape which took place in 1999, then continued to its first season on October 5, 1999 and ran for five years until its finale on May 19, 2004. In that time, 110 episodes of the series aired. Angel is the only character to appear in every episode. Wesley is only missing from ten (nine of those taking place before Wesley joined the show).
