A Membrane Suit was a Demarchist technology which was applied as a gel but selectively hardened to protect the wearer. Considered new in 2205, it was being used by the Coalition's military above Mars. Despite this, an enzyme spray that disintegrated the suit was in the possession of Galiana's Conjoiners.
