The Star Wars galaxy is the fictional setting for the Star Wars franchise. It is referred to in several official publications as the galaxy or the Known Galaxy. It is also known as The Galaxy Far, Far Away in reference to the opening of Star Wars movies and other stories; "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away."
