Snottingham was the capital of Mercia and home to Snottingham Castle, which was the residence of the royal family. Following the overthrow of King O'Hedge, it received the name Snottingham and became the base of operations for Dr. Robotnik's local Sub-Boss, the High Sheriff. It later became the headquarters of the Mercia Dark Egg Legion and its Grandmaster, Mordred Hood, and thus a constant target of the Mercian Freedom Fighters. Following the drastic alterations to Mobius resulting from the Super Genesis Wave, Mercia was replaced with the new nation of Avalon, and Snottingham appears to have been replaced with an Egg Army base.
