James Fleamont Potter, 20th Duke of Inverness, 18th Duke of Hereford, (27 March 1960 – 31 October 1981) was a human pure-blood wizard and the only son of Fleamont and Euphemia Potter. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted into Gryffindor. Later, he married his Hogwarts crush, who became Lily Potter, and had a pair of twins with her, Michael and Harry. He was targeted by Voldemort, and a few years after the dark wizard's defeat, James became the head of the Improper Use of Magic Office in the Ministry of Magic.
