Ben Neluenf was the first great Podracer born on the desert planet of Tatooine. Eventually, Neluenf lost his life in an attempt to scale a large mesa located between the Desert Plain and the Hutt Flats. As a tribute, the site of his death was christened Ben's Mesa.
