Evangelion Type β (エヴァンゲリオン乙型, "Evangerion Otsugata") or Evangelion Unit-β (エヴァンゲリオン乙号機, "Evangerion Otsugouki") is one of the new Evangelions to appear in the games Evangelion Detective and later reappeared in Battle Orchestra. It is piloted by Kaworu Nagisa on both occasions. It is the sister unit of Unit Alpha. Unit Beta is armed with a heat katana (charges up with heat to do more damage) and can extend wings from its pylons. The wings are similar to Adam's wings during Second Impact.
