Argonel is a powerful narcotic, used by Healers as both a painkiller and muscle relaxant. Its use is very carefully controlled, as it is easy to overdose, with fatal results. Both Bard Stefen and Herald Talia attempted to suicide using argonel. Talia had it smuggled to her in Ancar's dungeons, after sending her final message and warning to Selenay. Stefen took a vial with him to the Forest of Sorrows, to use in his extreme grief. In both cases they were stopped by the spirits of the dead. Talia was stopped by Kris, and Stefen by Vanyel.
