Kyle went downstairs, and told his mother, Susanne Diamond, that he is leaving. Susanne said "Here Kyle, take this Bag. It will help you on your journey." Kyle replied, "Okay." Kyle rushed out the door, ready to get to Sandgem Town and see Professor Rowan. However, his rival, Drew Platinum, said "Kyle, did you hear about the Red Gyarados in Lake Verity? Let's go see it!" Drew replied, "I think I can find a way to fend off the Pokémon." Kyle said, "Okay, fine, I'll go."
