In the Nova series, Optimus Prime usually wields his original Generation One weapons: the ion blaster and the energon-axe. Prime is shown to be an excellent fighter and can wield his weapons with great skill. Physical combat to a degree also appears to be a skill of Optimus Prime in the Nova series as well. Optimus is shown to be highly intelligent and wise in the Nova series as well as very caring of the humans and other Autobots.
