Tokursh was a region on the planet Mandalore, the Mandalorians' cultural homeworld in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. The area was rich in unmined beskar iron ore, a fact that caught the attention of the Galactic Empire soon after its foundation. The Imperial government offered the Mandalorian clans and the MandalMotors company a contract worth eight million credits for the exclusive rights to mine the Tokursh region.
