In the comic book series, Mr. Rich has lighter red hair, while in the animated series, his hair is more a darker shade of red. He is also deptcted as a big eater, though such practice was only seen in the comic book series. He is also a very kind and generous man, who would donate his excess money to needy charities. In one episode of the animated series, when the jade Maltese Monkey statue was scheduled to be up for auction because the museum desperately needed the money, Mr. Rich had planned to buy the prized statue and donate it back to the museum.
