Alda may be best known for her roles in The Deer Hunter as Steven's wife, Angela, as well as for Mommie Dearest and Amityville II: The Possession. She also appeared on numerous TV programs, such as Cold Case, Crime Scene Investigation, and Beauty and the Beast. Alda was married for almost thirty years to actor Richard Bright, who was tragically killed after being hit by a tour bus in Manhattan, New York City. Bright made guest appearances in Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
