Sha-Ban fled from Dread Mountain some time after Gellick took control of the Dread Gnomes. She made her way to Del, hoping to gain help for her tribe from King Alton. She ran into Josef and told the old librarian about her ailments, but he did not believe her. When he left to buy her bread, she was killed by two Ols disguised as fruit vendors. Josef later recorded his meeting with Sha-Ban in his book, The Deltora Book of Monsters.
