The crested waterfoul is a sea monster appearing in Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. It had a spiny head, a coiling neck, and an elongated tail. It was related to the river serpents, but much larger and far more dangerous. When attacked, it would hiss "with a sound like lava flowing into the sea", and could produce a purple, oily poison. The poison was deadly on contact with humans, but alters could survive it, if they were prepared.
