Due to the Testarossa's wide wheelbase, a DeTomaso Pantera was chosen, as both cars were aesthetically similar. The Pantera underwent several changes including: * Aftermarket body panels * Nitrous for quick takeoffs * a rollbar for safety * an aftermarket racing radiator for the humid Miami air * a large carbuerator * a special brake wired to a separate brake booster that would lock both rear wheels. This action was used most notably in the episode "Down for the Count (Part II)".
