Amanda Lear is a French singer, TV presenter, painter, actress, lyricist and novelist, born in Hong Kong on November 18 1946, as Amanda Tapp. She was a Disco Queen in Continental Europe, the Eastern Bloc and most other parts of the world in the mid 1970s to the early 1980s. She first came to the public's attention as the fetishistically clad model on the cover of Roxy Music's album For Your Pleasure in 1973. .
