Leon Mohammad Jefferson (1960-1984) was a dealer working closely for the drug lord Calderone. He was arrested at a meet involving James "Sonny" Crockett, Scottie Wheeler and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, taken to court, where he was released on his own recognizance after "agreeing to cooperate with the State's Attorney", a claim Leon vociferously denied, to the point of shoving his lawyer and calling the police for help because he feared for his life. He was at a beach concession stand when Trini DeSoto walked over and shot him dead before Crockett and Tubbs could speak with him.
