Chronitons are time particles which may be used to speed up the growth of living beings and to accelerate time in a fixed location. They were found in the Tempus Nebula until the Planet Express crew and Harlem Globetrotters imploded the nebula to stop escaping chronitons from causing time skips. They were known to have destroyed at least one galactic civilization. Also, the "chrono" in chronitons is ancient greek for time.
