Having Type 1 Diabetes is when your pancreas produces little or no insulin.Mainly children get type 1 diabetes. Insulin is something your body creates whenever you eat carbs. It keeps your your blood sugar under control from getting too high. So, if your pancreas doesn't create insulin, your blood sugar will get high. So if you have Type 1 diabetes, you would need to change your eating schedule. Say you are hungry and it's lunch time. You would have to check what your blood sugar is. Then you count the carbs . Next, you do a calculation.
