Energy farms were structures in use by the Confederacy of Independent Systems that harvested energy and dispensed it to power droid factories and to create shields. During the Battle of Thule, energy farms powered the defenses protecting the Separatist Command Installation. Clone engineers were deployed inside to leave them vulnerable to attack.
